This plan has been undertaken to determine the highest and best use
of Parcel 7 for the Georgia International Maritime and Trade Center and
Design a Master Plan of civic significance to Savannah’s waterfront.

VISION

Enhance the success and growth of the Trade Center

Create a primary water entrance to Hutchinson Island

Establish a street network linking existing and future development on the Island

Define a framework of blocks with flexible development options

Identify potential public attractions, a possible hotel, and complementary mixed-use areas that serve both residents and visitors

Support river connections with a water ferry stop and maintenance facility

Preserve and enhance views of Savannah’s riverfront and skyline
